this timo fabric on these pillows is really working for me. i especially like the orange and brown one, still haven't tired of that color combo yet.

these were found at bg shop somewhere in japan. need to email my friend there and see if they can tell me more about this place. it looks like timo stands for textiles in modern objects but that's all that was in english and that they were 2,800 yen.

thanks one good bumblebee for the cool link via design sponge. i'm starting to think i say cool too much but is there a better word to describe all these?

these have become the number one "must haves" on my want list! so adore these! made from ebony - remind me of those polished rocks my dad used to design jewelry with back in the 70's.

christie's is having a sale featuring these great chairs and then some coming up. i wish i could afford them, they are almost affordable in comparison to some of the lots going up on the block may 26th. oh to dream.

veer always has nice designed free wallpapers for your desktop and this month's have some great colors. i always find their designs are hip hip happening and give a sense of what is currrently happening in design. thanks veer.

finally a rocking chair that has no colonial knobs attached. designed by montreal's patrick messier initially for his expecting wife, this chair was recently featured at the 2005 international contemporary furniture fair held in new york over this past weekend.

the designer created a limited, numbered edition of 20 chairs that have the cursive lilt of persian script but are actually designed on a grid based on the recursive Fibonacci sequence (whatever that means). MAMMA comes in custom colors.

due to the motherhood lifestyle i've been living, the only thing i read these days are magazines as i can get a quick article in here and there versus a book where i'll pick it up and read the same paragraph over and over due to time constraints. hence, i'm a bit of a magazine freak and am always on the lookout for a good quality one. i ordered this magazine here the other day when i was looking for a link for my chairs. i've noticed it seems to be a trend happening in europe where the manufacturer is starting to publish these types of magazines. so if you can get past the proverbial advertising - the quality of the articles hopefully makes up for it. per kitschenette's reccommendation i ordered this magazine which arrived last week (much to my surprise as i totally forgot about it). it had some great articles in it on what is happening in zurich (this month's issue city) and designing the future. it also came with a cd with some tunes and things. p.s. - and they are free.

i'm so thrilled we bought this tulip table today to go with our chairs. the white table really clicks with the dark wood chairs - and our dining room is a hip happening! we've had these chairs for a while and had picked up a dark wood table to go with it back then and it was just getting too dark and heavy. so we've lightened up for the spring. we even got a new work desk as we had a tall dark one before. now i'm back on the floor and much more comfortable.
