Sunday Reading: Get the Look: Home Decor Edition

Featured on Etsy Home Decor
This sunday's reading (more like sunday looking), but definitely one of my highlights of every sunday, is from Etsy's "Get the Look: Home Decor Edition". Contributer and Etsian, Christine has one the best "etsy curated" posts online. If you haven't signed up for her weekly posts, it's a definite must and you'll never be disappointed. This week her post is inspired by the Atlanta, Georgia home of Yokoo (who probably doesn't need any introduction to most of you). But I'm loving her navajo-themed (and nautical) home and Christine's Etsy finds to get the look. Click here to read.

October Bake and Decorate Month

According to Anika over at Dirty Bandits, October is Bake and Decorate month, and although we haven't checked the official-ness (word?) of this, we really think it's an awesome idea. And she's illustrated an October desktop wallpaper to celebrate! Visit her site here to download.

Little Winter, A Handmade Market

Flyer and postcard artwork by Shanna Murray

Today I'm totally stoked to help kick off "Little Winter, A Handmade Market" we are sponsoring this season which is happening the first weekend in November (the 6th + 7th) at Portland's Ace Hotel.

Abby Powell-Thompson of abby try again and Chelsea Fuss of {frolic!} are joining forces with this beautifully curated hand made market. All of the vendors were hand picked by them, as they wanted to showcase bloggers and artists who may not have normally had the chance to get together. The group of artisans will be selling clothing, house wares, paper goods, fine art, photography, vintage, purses, accessories and more. The event features vendors from Portland but also those from afar.

There are 18 vendors total (see list below and visit their site for links which are all listed on the sidebar) except Nikole of Herriott Grace who won't be there in person, but the market will be selling a special assortment her beautiful wares!

Vendors include: Abby Try Again, Amanda Blake, Hetterson Clothing, Cori Kindred, Favor Jewelry, Fieldguided, Forestbound, Garment House, Herriott Grace, Jordan Ferney, Julianna Swaney, Kiki + Polly, My House Party, Mossiere, Paul Ferney, Secret Pocket, Shanna Murray, Sulu Jewelry, Tokketok, Twigs & Honey

The market will be held at The Cleaners, the gorgeous and airy event space at Portland's Ace Hotel. Psssssst! Stay tuned for an amazing special giveaway we'll be hosting here near month's end!
