Shop Tour: Hoxton Monster Supply Shop

Guest post by Andrea from lotus events / Got Craft?

Hello Poppytalk readers! It’s Andrea from lotus events / Got Craft? and I am pleased to share some of my favourite London, UK shops with you! Originally from Vancouver, BC, I moved to London last February to spend a year experiencing life on the other side of the pond. To kick off the first shop tour, we head to Hoxton in London’s East End, a creative hub dating back to the 17th century.

The Hoxton Street Monster Supply Shop is East London’s premier purveyor of everyday and bespoke goods for the living, dead and undead. Reminiscent in a style of a 1940s war-time shop with wooden shelving and staff in traditional brown aprons, they stock a pharmacopoeia of different types of fear, a complete range of edible human preserves and everyday household essentials like Fang Floss and Zombie Mints.

Behind the shelves of Monster Supplies, there's an entrance to another secret place. The Ministry of Stories aims to inspire a nation of storytellers by offering free writing workshops and mentoring to young people aged 8-18.
