Olympic Cupcakes!

My favourite cupcake maker in all the land, Lyndsay of Coco Cake Cupcakes has made yet another amazing creation! A client of hers father was one of the torch bearers for the Olympic Torch relay and had placed an order for Olympic-themed cupcakes to celebrate. And voila! Lyndsay came through! Aren't they sweet? Perfect too for a February birthday party or any type of Olympic themed event one may be having. Click here to see more cupcake goodness!

Go Canada Go!

With glowing hearts, we are totally stoked today as the Opening Ceremonies take place here for the 2010 Winter Olympics! It's been an amazing build-up here, so hard to explain unless you've lived in an Olympic host city I suppose. The only way to describe it is, you're just drawn to it. Seeing the Torch Relay this week and watching everyone experience it, there's just this sense you want to be near it and anything that has anything to do with it. It's like the fountain of youth, or some great elixir of sorts. Although we won't be physically at the opening ceremonies, we'll be watching them with the rest of the world live and I'm sure with tears of pride. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend whatever you may be doing. The above image was found on boston.com and if you go to their site, the image is the perfect size to turn it into a desktop picture there (it's on mine right now)! Vancouver Design Destination featured in Loftlife Magazine

Olympic Oval, Richmond, B.C., Photography by Linden Hass

A while back we were approached by Kyra Shapurji of the magazine, Loftlife out of New York, to contribute to a little piece she was doing on a design destination, Vancouver. We see it's up on the website now (and is also in print if you happen to see the latest issue)! It's a nice little piece on this beautiful city and a great reference if you happen to be visiting soon. Click here to read and bookmark! Thanks to Kyra for including us!
