Affordable Art (AM Edition): Vivienne Strauss


Vivienne is a self taught artist. She collects vintage ceramic poodles and is in constant search of the perfect black and white striped t-shirt. Vivienne shares a birthday with Billy the Kid, Bela Lugosi, Harpo Marx and Erte. She enjoys working in many mediums: watercolor, ink, oils, collage and embroidery to her repretoire. She does not have any formal training in the arts but does have a BA degree in Philosophy.  She lives in upstate NY with her husband, artist Matte Stephens and their family of cats.  See more of her work online:

Affordable Art: Vivienne Strauss


Mrs. Wesley Winchester and Walter arrive in West Palm in the same manner in which they always arrive everywhere - with lots of baggage.

I love the story-style titles that always accompany Portland soon NY-based artist, Vivienne Strauss's work. They always set the stage for what is happening or happened in the piece and allows the viewer to take it from there.
