Old Friends become New Friends Wedding!

Well what can I say about this beautiful couple, Sue and Gunther, well actually I could say a lot!

Sue loves chocolate and Gunther is a charming and by all accounts a good dancer!

When Sue first emailed me about her wedding here in Spain we had a few rather strange co-oindences, the first one that she lived in Camberley where I grew up and secondly and even more bizzarly was that her H2B, Gunther, had worked with Anoulka, my assistant, as a dancer years ago so along with our joint love of chocolate and cakes the relationship was off to a head start for this beautiful wedding :)

Sue already had most things planned out and was lucky to have her sister living here so life became much easier planning a wedding abroad, but she wanted a very simple and elegant fresh white and green slightly vintage style wedding.

We used dreamy white hydrangeas mixed with fresh green viburnums and the effect was stunning along with Sue´s beautiful birdcages, hearts, napkins rings and candles it really was a beautiful table design and we loved it.

Sue and Gunther got married at the prettiest church, La Virginia, here in Marbella and had their reception at the Hacienda San Jose.

Our thanks to Talia at Thoroughly Gorgeous for these stunning photos of a beautiful couple and our thanks to Sue and Gunther for contacting us and becoming such good friends and of course reaquainting themselves with old friends, we look forward to seeing you both in September for a cocktail and chocolate :) Fi if you want to replicate the cakes for September we would all be highly delighted!

A Fabulous Flamenco Style Wedding at Hacienda San Jose, Mijas, Spain

As June hotted up, so did our gorgeous weddings and we had such fun designing this stunning wedding for Anna and Andrew with this amazing dramatic flamenco theme, and you cannot imagine my excitement when Anna first sent me photos of her dress! She did apparently have it made here in Spain.

This was going to have the real Andalucian wow factor and we are thrilled to receive the photos from Andreas Holm.

I will have to get more photos of the details we created for this wedding including the spanish fan table seating plans and menus, the black and white damask table covers along with red rose accents on the tables and this beautiful cake created by Sue at Wedding Cakes in Spain.

Anna´s stunning hair and make up was created by Caroline and Karen our talented beauty duo, with a beautiful ceremony by Lizzie Marriage

Here is the lovely testimonial that Anna and Andrew sent to us all, as they had planned this fantastic wedding from Australia they really did need a team here to support them and help them execute their ideas into a reality.

I would like to thank you all for making Andrew and my wedding such a wonderful occasion. Organising a wedding from the other side of the world can of course be challenging but you all made it run so smoothly and made me feel that any queries I had could be addressed and no request was too small. I cannot speak highly enough for all your hard work and making Andrew and my dream wedding a reality.

We love Spain and wanted our wedding to reflect this and I think we accomplished just that.

Anna and Andrew x

Our thanks again to Andreas Holms for allowing us to share this stunning wedding with you.

Wedding World Fun!

As Wedding World here in Marbella gets truly underway we are having a huge amount of fun creating some fabulous weddings all to be blogged over the next few months with our lovely details, our new decorations and twinkly bits!

The big hit though for all of us this year is the fabulous photo booths, what fantastic photos we are seeing from our gorgeous weddings!

Here are Jen and Ashley in action courtesy of Becky Sharpe and her fab photo booth, last week at the Finca de la Concepcion, we love it! You must go and check out the Fiestasol team as well, made me laugh out loud at their gang bundled into a photo booth ;)
