Fresh From The Oven: Erik Anthony Hamline

Contributer post by Will Bryant

Erik Hamline is a 23 years young Minneapolis designer and screenprinter. He's runs a studio under the name Steady Print Shop Co. You really need to check out his impressive portfolio. He totally scorched FFFFOUND and other blogs earlier this month, but here are some of my favorites...

I'm really impressed with his range of work and outstanding aesthetic. I'm certain will be seeing loads of eye candy from this kid!

Shaun Lind, my fellow Public Schooler, has a brand spanking new portfolio site! Shaun and I both graduated in December of 2008 (not from the same school) and made our ways to Austin. I will peek over his shoulder as he fires out endless amounts of logos, tshirts, flyers, and all sorts of printed materials. Check out his stuff!

Shaun is totally on the internet...

edholm ullenius

eu9
Edholm Ullenius are two graphic designers and illustrators (Sissi Edholm & Lisa Ullenius) based in Stockholm Sweden. They have been working together since they met at Beckman's College of Design in 2002. Their clients include, Absolut Vodka, IKEA and British fashion designer, Paul Smith, to name a few. In North America, we'd probably recognize their textile pieces they have designed for IKEA . We recently touched base with them where they shared their collaboration with Paul Smith (see dress image). It's a collection of clothes and accessories where they have made the illustrations. The clothes will be sold exclusively for the Japan market and will be launched in the shops in the beginning of February. We love the subtleties in their street art, the bark and mushroom stickers along with the rabbits placed on street walls to find the way to their office. Click here to see their portfolio.

80 years of chatelaine

Untitled-1

i picked up the 80th anniversary issue of chatelaine magazine (canada's first magazine for women) over the weekend, drawn in by all the different covers they had on the cover (below image). an amazing array of illustration, typography and photography throughout the years. i'm drawn towards the 1940's and 50's mostly for the cursive and decorative type. here is a link to the cover gallery and if you wish to investigate further, there's some interesting articles through the decades they posted online here.
