set design: one chair - two ways

A chair I've been eyeing for a while is the Antwerp chair from Anthropologie. It's so versatile with it's flowery fabric. For my set design this week, I'm placing it in a couple of settings. set design: one couch two ways

i found this milo sofa today at anthropologie which has so much character i immediately thought of a bohemian sort of pad and put together the scene below. (accessories: honeycomb lanterns, blondie poster, red vintage pottery ashtray). above i've been dreaming up the idea of collecting handheld mirrors and then hanging them above a sofa like this. (accessories: laura ashley hand-held mirror, vintage hand-held, lost heart brigade print, antique frame no.2 and the letter e).

set design: front hall

i'm kind of liking doing this. clipping out pieces i like, ideas for the front hall (seems to be my concentration at the moment). but i'm start a new series here called "set design", where i gather things that i'm wishing for, dreaming about or drawing inspiration from for particular parts or corners of my home and then bringing them here. this week here's my look. set design: a wishlist for the front hall

i stopped by pier 1 imports over the weekend to visit a friend who works there and also to look into a storage solution for our front hall. i found this birds and blooms dresser and it has now become the priority on my wishlist. a few other things that are floating in my head: nothing wrong print by mati rose mcdonough; artichoke print from image association; twig coat rack from z gallerie (via design sponge) and a plastic blows tote by black sheep heap.
