sweet valentine

The work of the late designer/architect, Ettore Sottsass is on exhibition at the Centre Pompidou in Paris now till March 31st, 2009.

This Valentine typewriter he designed along with Perry King in 1969 for Olivetti is one of our favorites, (if only they made laptops as sweet as these now). According to Wikipedia, it became the ultimate fashion accessory for the “girl-about-town” of that era.

yellow owl workshop

i'm loving this array of unfinished wood panels featured at yellow owl workshop's website. (which are on my wishlist). inspired by medieval heraldry, these finished pieces are all signed and numbered. they also have some unique valentine's they are printing up right now! (thanks leigh)!
