Bronze and Gold Wedding Flowers

Beautiful bridal party flowers we did for a garden wedding last Sunday. All lovely tones of gold and bronze.

The Bouquet is of creme de la creme roses, honeymoon roses, bronze cymbidium orchids, calla lilies and a collar of magnolia leaves.

The stems were bound with ivory satin ribbon overlayed with bronze shimmer ribbon french twisted the entire length and studded with pearl headed pins.

The Grooms boutonniere is of a perfect bronze cymbidium orchid paired with a single magnolia leaf.

A corsage of a stunning solitary golden cymbidium offset with yellow freesias and upside down magnolia foliage.

Handmade Party Kit

How can you not just flip over this Handmade Party Kit by NYC-based artist Carrie Strine. Buy the kit, or the individual pieces for a perfectly handmade party, and then save the decorations for next time or pass them on! Streamer measures just over 2 yards, flags are 6 inches tall, and runner measures 10 inches by 24 inches. Visit Carrie at her site here or at our market this month here where she's also showcasing some amazing quilts.

The new PX 70 Color Shade instant film from The Impossible Project was released a little over a month ago and the best part (in addition to actually shooting the film myself) is seeing what everyone else is doing with it. Collected from the flickr group recently and inspiration for days:
