A Thank You: Free Printable Summer Gift Wrapping Set

As a thank you to you all for coming by each day, I've made a printable summer gift wrap set free to download.  I found some beautiful vintage postcards and ephemera, and created three different gift wraps that sort of work together with a summer theme in mind.  I also included some gift tags to match. (Props: Crocheted rock and fabric pinecone by Margaret Oomen of Resurrection Fern). Here are the links:

Happy wrapping! And thank you for visiting!

Poppytalk Printable: Mother's Day Gift Wrap

Yesterday I stepped out and took photo's of the last of the beautiful spring blossoms we've been enjoying and made a collage out of them to create some printable gift wrapping paper for Mother's Day.  I also had found some beautiful vintage photo's of mothers and their children at The Commons on flickr and made another printable gift wrapping paper with some favourites.  I think they look pretty stacked together (see photo below).  For the flowers printable click here and for the vintage photo's here.

P.S. This paper is super easy to make (if you're familiar with photoshop and illustrator) and could be customized using old photo's of your mother or grandmother (and children).  This was inspired by the holiday issue of Sweet Paul's magazine (Dec 2010).

Free Printable Download: Last Minute Tags & Gift Wrap!

Last year I made some downloadable printable holiday tags for those last minute gift wrappers that like me, forget tags or wrap! This year I'm doing it again, these one's inspired by Sweet Paul's Thanksgiving tags and wrap; and with the help of The Commons images over on flickr - I found some gems of the snow-capped mountains here in the Pacific N.W. to design a collage with. Click here to download/print the tags, and here for the wrap. I already wrapped one little gift with them, and tied it with some fluorescent yarn. Happy wrapping!

free wallpapers

wallpapers

Happy Monday everyone! It's a holiday here in most parts of Canada (Victoria Day) - and we 're excited to share some first-ever Poppytalk wallpapers (just for fun)! We've been needing a little inspiration lately, and so we’ve created a few wallpapers with inspiration in mind. A couple with inspirational quotes, and a couple, well, just cake by itself we think should do the trick, and maybe a dip in a pool? All photo’s taken by me. Click here to find the complete set on flickr. In case you were wondering, the cake image is from Front, a store here in Vancouver that had this awesome window display a few years back (2005) - see original post about it here; and the bridge photo is of the Burrard Bridge taken from a highrise on Beach Avenue years ago with a very cheap camera. Noteworthy: The inspiratonal quote pieces were inspired by MSU student, Claire Gipson - see our post about her here.

free downloadable stickers & earth hour!

Not to forget about Earth Hour Saturday evening! Click here to vote earth by turning off your lights for one hour - earth hour!

With earth love comes recycling and organization, and this week we lend you a helping hand - well, actually stickers, really - to help you organize your recycling materials. Since we are always confusing our own bins, we thought perhaps we weren’t alone in this department and fashioned these with the idea that they might help out. Download, print and stick them to the side/or top of your bins for easy reference. Click here (paper and glass) and here (newspaper and metal) to download.

new free download

This week’s download is a real tag we scanned in (to give it that realistic look), duplicated and then numbered using Modern No. 20 font (a favorite of ours). We hope you’ll enjoy them, as much as we are, as we tag everything in sight. Like coffee tins, water vessels, gifts and such. Click here to see. Print on heavier card stock paper, cut and then use a string to tie and attach.

free download from us!

After visiting one of our favorite font sites the other day, we came across a lovely silhouette dingbat by Candee Kis.

So we decided to make a pair of silhouettes to print out (inspired by a jasperware article in Martha Stewart Living) and then leave to you what you’d like to do with them. Frame to make pictures, print on card stock to make tags, make some gifts or let us know what you used them for.

Click here to get the downloadable pdf. (Prints two on 8.5” x 11).

calendar-download

Last week we posted about Pilllpat’s scanned ephemera and vintage french paper crafts. While sifting through them we came across a sweet little desk calendar.

We used their template as a starting point and built our own. All you need is some paper, tape , scissors and a printer. It’s kind of fun and super easy to make! Click here to get the pdf.

make it! downloadable letters to make vinyl decals

makeit

Download a letter pdf file here (includes A to Z), print it out on your printer. Cut out letter and tape onto contact paper reversed so when flipped over it reads properly. For the contact paper choose a favorite color or faux bois. (Note: The contact paper is removable). Using a craft knife cut out traced letter onto contact paper. Stick above hooks (an initial for each person) for a nice organized entryway or use wherever!

Thank you readers! Here's a lemony treat! (a free downloadable poster)

easyyelloweye
Thank you!

To thank you, our readers, we have created a downloadable art print just for you. We really appreciate you visiting us, and just wanted to send out something. Using the eye chart idea, we put the phrase, "Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy" into a downloadable pdf print. It's 8.5" x 11" so everyone should be able to print it out on their printer instantly and frame (if you so wish)! It fits well into an Ikea RIBBA (12.5" x 16.5") frame. Hang it in your office to inspire you when you run into a challenge or great for a kid's room too! Click here to download. It's a lemony treat!
