We’ve been building and building up the love thing for the past two weeks and we’ve finally come to the realization that “all you really need is love”.

This print by artist Douglas Wilson adorns the walls of the Keep Calm Gallery in the UK, but it could have easily been hung on a 1967 outside red brick wall in downtown London or any other city wall during those heady idealistic days. It still proclaims truth.

A Gocco'd Yo-Yo + Before and After

It's always fun to see what's going on in the flickr window of Philly's Something's Hiding in Here. If it isn't their adorable handmade must-haves, it's their creative and awesome home decorating that has us ooohing and awing from afar. And this time we have both. Shauna and Stephen have been busy little bees lately, creating valentine's for us to send to our loved ones like these gocco'd yo-yo's and sparkly darts with plaster hearts in subtle powdery shades of blue.

They have also been building this bookshelf in lovely shades of blues and greens all in less than a month! We've put together a before and after shot (not that the before needed any help), but the new shelves are really stunning (and you must see the work that went into them). These two must stay up 24 hours a day. Thanks Shauna and Stephen for the inspiration!

Kimberly of Chez Sucre Chez has some new things in her shop just in time for Valentine's which we're just loving including these hand-embroidered crown hand/tea/dish towel in navy - did I say I was loving navy? (Also available in off-white). A few x-stitch kits like this puppy love one and a very cute owl love you always kit. We also love her custom monogrammed towels in various colors. stephanie congdon barnes: love notes

Beautiful feathers that have taken months to get them how she wanted, are now ready to send to the one you love for Valentine's Day. Portland's Stephanie Congdon Barnes has crafted these "Love Notes" using fine gray wool which are backed with red polka-dot cotton, a wire spine keeps them both rigid and flexible (just like a real feather).

Packaged in a vellum envelope and printed with a Valentine's message, these adorable "love notes" would be perfect for a mate, a friend or family member with whom you share a certain outlook. They will be available on January 30th when she updates her shop.

2009 Valentine's Round-Up! (Part 1)

Oh if you're ready or not, it is that time of year, love is in the air, and Valentine's Day is just around the corner! I've been posting Valentine's cards around mid January every year, so if one wants to purchase from any of these amazing card designers, you'll have time to order online and they'll get to you or your valentine on time. So today we start, our Valentine's Day card round up! What we're noticing too, are valentine's prints this year, a nice alternative to a card.
