DIY Series - Roses in Mossy Vases

These cute little vases with single roses suit a modern wedding with organic touches. The moss keeps things earthy whilst the roses give a little class and beauty. Line them up along a rectangular table alternating sides as you go along and compliment them with tea lights in glass cups for an elegant setting.

Step 1. Collect a few cheap plastic containers all the same size. Roll in glue or spray with spray adhesive.

Step 2. Either roll your container in the moss (you could use fake moss for this) or place it on.

Step 3. Use a fine hatched mesh which you can buy from florist supply stores or from Spotlight, and cut to the height and circumference of the containers using small wire cutters.

Step 4. Wrap the mesh around the container once the glue is dry. Secure it by bending it in on itself at the back. The purpose of this is to keep your moss intact and on the container.

Step 5. Add some water and a fresh cut rose in your chosen colour.
