Dahlias are such a showy flower and the colours they come in are nothing short of stunning. Perfect for a modern , fun or tropical wedding. Originating in the mountain ranges of Mexico, Guatemala and Columbia (imagine their bright blooms wildly growing on mountains .. how beautiful) before they were discovered by the rest of the world, they are now grown prolifically in warmer climates. They are in season in Australia throught summer and autumn, but are very hard to get a hold of as a cut flower as they are grown mostly by cottage farmers and so you will only find they are available for one week every year.
