I really like the natural, earthy appeal of birds nests in weddings. They are perfectly suited for natural themed or garden weddings and add a bit of whimsy to a table setting. You could use them anywhere and for anything. Just don't over use them!
A gorgeous frosted cake in pure white with lots of texture is adorned with twigs and leaves and crowned with a birds nest. You could even put two little birds in the nest instead of the plastic bride and groom.
A mossy birds nest holds the rings during the ceremony.
Tall birds nests double as vases which are filled with soft pink roses and run in a line down the centre of the table. There's also a mini version as a place setting decoration with single roses, which are so cute.
Miniature birds nests filled with candied almonds (which look like eggs - I especially like them in "duck egg" blue) make great favours.
