get well soon masks
i was a tad curious when i first arrived in tokyo (pre-SARS days), and happened upon this surgical-mask wearing civilization. at first i thought there was something i was unaware of. then i found out how considerate this accessory really was. and it only makes sense these get well soon masks were on the horizon.
created by BOONDESIGN in Tokyo, "sterile white gauze masks worn in cold and flu season become something fun and cheerful" as stated on the design+ site. "there are currently 15 types of masks, varying from animal whiskers and snouts to ruby painted lips and geishas - one even has a zipper so the wearer can eat."
