congratulations to catherine from mill valley, ca who won the domino decorating contest that was advertised all over the place this fall. using stencils, silver leaf, 10 different blues with accents of apple greens and pinks, she obtained a sanctuary to enjoy after a long day at work. i love the barcelona ottoman (without it's partner chair) and the stenciling on her headboard (she purchased a bed from a major department store, which was a dark brown four-poster and sawed off the posts, painted it white and topped the corners with curtain rod finials she silver leafed).
