I really love the elegance and simplicity of a black and white colour scheme. For a formal affair it creates a sort of parisian chic that cannot be surpassed (in my eyes anyway!). To keep the styling from looking flat (black can look dull if it's too matt and the lighting is too harsh), try introducing rich textures.

Add some french flair with a simple black bow to a white gown. Pure white anemones have a black centre, perfect for this colour palette.

Wedding Styling and Decor
Black glassware creates high class drama, whilst sequined chair covers add a touch of glamour. Pair anemones with white hydrangeas and use lots and lots of tealights!

The Catering
Blackberries create a lovely unique touch to the catering, whilst black and white patterned paper wrap an assortment of chocolates and cakes. Keep the wedding cake simple in crisp white with black detailing. Beware: black colouring in icing will turn your tongue and teeth black! So it may be best to stick with using non edible black decorations on your cake. Greet your guests to the reception with a martini garnished with a perfect ball of ice.
