designer series feature - pentagram

another beautiful documentary from the designer series by hillman curtis. he interviews the partners from pentagram, a collective of designers who work in different medias, based in london, ny, san francisco, austin and berlin. he asks what they love most about design; some excerpts:

"the unpredictablity and flexibility and trying to remain relevant"

"about making meaning; that you produce new meaning through the vehicle of design"

"being a storyteller, telling stories through pictures; being able to communicate with people, not just to clearly talk to them, but to influence them along the way"

"it's a long long journey about improving, and to work in something that your passionate about"

"conceiving of something is a tremendous thrill, making it happen requires enormous patience and can be educational and inspirational, but having made something is the whole point"

"for an artist, your happiness is really tied up in your work and if you're not doing great work, you're not going to be happy"

so so inspirational - something to keep nearby.
