Giveaway from Smock Paper!

smock
I'm really proud today to introduce you to Smock. It is a new line of letterpress wedding invitations, letterpress announcements and letterpress greeting cards – sustainably printed on bamboo paper in upstate New York. They are powered by wind energy and donate 1% of their sales to environmental causes through 1% for the Planet. Their retail packaging is tree-free and petroleum free and certified biodegradable. For their employees, they subsidize 20-week Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) memberships with a local organic farm. Their commitment to the environment affects everything they do.

The fine folks there are offering Poppytalk readers a really sweet deal this week. A giveaway of three packs of their notecards (each is a set of 8 letterpressed cards with lined envelopes - your choice)! A retail value of $54. All you have to do is visit their website (www.smockpaper.com) and then come back here to Poppytalk and leave a comment in our comments box at this post telling us what your favorite product is at their website. We will then pick a name through some fabulous scientific method yet (wink, Fiona) to be determined next Wednesday, September 3rd and announce it then.

Also we are thrilled to be the first to introduce you to their brand new fonts they had specifically designed for them by calligrapher, Debi Zeinert. They worked with internationally-renowned type designer, Richard Kegler (of P22), who has created fonts from Monet's handwriting, among others. They created two styles -- one classic, one modern (the fonts are called Smock Clermont and Smock Spencerian), and they're only available through Smock.
