City: Columbus, OH
Where in your home/apartment/city is your studio located?
We are located in East Columbus, out by the airport, next door to a paint factory. The studio is located in an old mill building.
What equipment/tools do you use?
CNC mill, letterpress, 3-D camera and printer, thermofax, kilns, print gocco, miter saw, dremel tool dork kit, plaster molds.
Do you have an inspiration board, and can you tell us what is inspiring you now?
The whole studio is a 3-D inspirational board. Most pieces are made by trying A + B together - anything is game.
How do you create best (e.g. do you listen to music while you create and if so what?)
There is something about working together - the addition or subtraction of a part - the tinkering - that really brings the concepts to life. Being in the studio trying to solve the problems of one piece is what brings ideas into the next.
We listen to a lot of books on tape, and podcasts.
List (3) of your favorite artists
Johann Joachim Kaendler

John James Audubon
If yours isn't, what would be your perfect studio?
One with running water.
