Today we're excited to launch our "3rd" year anniversary market! Yep, back in 2007 we had our first "October" market, and we're thankful to our readers, and to our participants for making it the success it is! We've gained a lot of momentum since our opening month, and in appreciation of that we'll be offering up some "anniversary giveaways" throughout the market month which runs October 19th - November 20th)! So stay tuned for some fun things happening soon! This month's theme is Indie Love, "hand-picked, handmade, beautiful things..." (Made with Love). And we've timed it so, to help beat the rush for those type of people who like to "holiday shop" a little early. If you look, you'll find holiday things popping up here and there alongside beautiful gifts for everyone (from toys, to housewares, menswear, jewelry, art, papergoods, kids, ceramics, etc)!
For those of you who are new to our blog/site, Poppytalk Handmade is a juried online market, with a new theme each month (depending on the time of year), featuring the best of the online handmade shopping world). We have hand-picked the most beautiful works and bring them to you to view (just like a real arts and crafts fair) and then when you click on a participants shop, you can then proceed to buy directly from the participant. We are the ones that bring the traffic (you) to the artists/participants direct. And then when you click to buy, it goes directly to their online shop (be it Etsy, Dawanda, Big Cartel, Folksy, etc.). All of our participants are from all corners of the world, and this month we're proud to be representing Australia, Italy, England, USA, Canada, and the Netherlands.
