Today I got CODE 1 FP notice, is this a positive sign?
I requested(May 02nd) USCIS to approve my case using "Cross-Chargeability", since my wife was born in non-retro country. But from June 01st, my PD (India) also becomes current.

I am on H-1 and recently filed for my 485. After I receive an EAD in 6 or so months, am I eligible to go to school full-time while waiting for processing on my 485 application?
To continue your 485 processing, you should either join another company with a similar job or you should be able to join your existing employer once the I-485 is approved.

If you have a job, getting a work permit will take only 4 hrs inside the consulate. No line. Give the passport and come back within 4 hrs to collect it.
No labor certification for computer(s/w for sure, dunno about h/w side for sure) professionals or petition. Need to show offer letter from the company and letter from company to the consulate.

That is depressing to know.
Yesterday I have opened a SR using the Expedite Processing CSR Option by calling USCIS. Spoke to a good CSR who understood the mistake and opened a SR for correcting the EB classfication and expediting the case (sence USCIS Error is an option for Expediting cases). Lets see what happens with this.
Also have a good contact now in Senators office, I already submitted a inquiry through their office and waiting for response.

I think she is ok, getting an H1-B approval doesn't mean that you have to start immediately. for e.g, many of the Indian tech companies get an H1-B at the start of the year and when they have a need for that person in US, send him/her over.
Only after her first payroll would she be considered on H1-B.

I know govt said anything regarding labor certifications etc are now only to be paid by employer...
what about fees related to extensions of h1 b? can i still pay for it or it's employer who has to pay...cause knowing my employer i know they won't want to pay and i wonder what options i have.

My husband's company lawyer already filed our I-485 but I made a mistake in entering my present company detail. Basically, I'm in H1 also and my transfer is still in process , so the present company detail I entered was for my old company not my new company ( which is still in process but I already got the receipt number). I didnt' know at the time of filing which company to enter that's why. Sorry, for being clueless but I really need your advice. Thank you.

Sorry to hear about your arrest. Are you staying with her in same house or separate house?. If you live in separate house, why you went there, if you have divorce case is pending.? You need to be careful.
