Home Sweet Home Tour No. 4: Amy Beth Cupp Dragoo of ABCD Design

Home Sweet Home Tour

Our 4th Home Sweet Home Tour belongs to New York artist, stylist and designer Amy Beth Cupp Dragoo of ABCD Design and her husband, Mr. D. Amy is a collector of vintage advertising posters, china cups, yarn and images. Her interior design aesthetic is all about transitionalism. She tells us she doesn't want to walk in any room and be able to pinpoint when it was decorated. She believes that her home should be an amalgamation of the items that she loves. She layers pieces from different eras that fit with their taste and fuses them to form a relaxing environment that reflects their personality as a couple. Amy is particularly drawn to pieces that are difficult to place in history. They are the perfect bridge between rustic and modern, traditional and today. Thanks Amy for sharing!

Painted mexican cabinet purchased at now defunct Hudson Dry Goods. It is jam-packed with my machine knitting yarn (silkcityfibers.com/SilkCity/index.jsp)
The lamps are vintage, from the 40's. They were a 26th Street flea market find. I had them re-wired and outfitted with new glass shades; I have been collecting antique boxes for as long as I can remember. There is a stack of three of them behind the little angel oil painting (also a flea market find) between the lamps; The 1920's Bridge Chairs are French - and I purchased them from Pooter o'looms in Harbor Springs Michigan; Painting is actually a print that was hand-painted and framed at the turn of the century; Painted: Benjamin Moore HC Van Buren Brown Trim: Benjamin Moore Super White
