Aisle Style

Walking down the aisle on the big day is one of the most important moments during a wedding ceremony. This is where all eyes are turned on you, where the photographer snaps away for some of the most emotive shots and where your husband to be lays eyes on you in the dress for the first time (traditionally anyway!). So don't walk down a boring old path. Make it special and unique. Think about the details; use an aisle runner printed with your initials combined to create a lovely monogram, or even create a sumptuous carpet of petals which when crushed with your foot steps send a beautiful scent wafting through the air; decorate the chairs lining the aisle with flowers or ribbons or tassels. See below for some great ideas.

Little lanterns line the aisle for a sunset wedding.
For the truly ambitious this lovely arbour at the entry makes an impressive statement.

A carpet of petals as the runner is mirrored in the posies on the chairs. Very pretty and completely feminine.

Create a bamboo canopy for overhead and sash big swathes of a breezy fabric through the frame for a simple but effectively unusual aisle.

Classy, elegant and truly modern.
