Classic Vintage

Come live with me, and be my love, and we will some new pleasures prove, Of golden sands, and crystal brooks, With silken lines and silver hooks
- John Donne
Vintage tends to be a jumble of many designs from quite a few different eras. Usually you can find inspiration from the late 1800's up to the 1940's, and throwing it all together in an elegant, bejewelled way tends to result in what everyone calls Vintage. The one aspect that holds it all together however is an undeniably feminine and pretty tone. You could make the look a bit edgier by adding raw materials and strong splashes of black, but the charm of the look is it's girliness. Take your cue from roses and hydrangeas in pastel colours, silver trays and teapots, ornate crystal glassware and ceramic vases, jewelled napkin rings, ribbon, sashes and maybe even a french chandelier all in pinks and mint greens combined with a taupe or mushroom brown to create a lovely wedding style.
