Zine Two from You Work For Them
Just a few samplings from You Work For Them's latest online pdf zine, ZINE TWO. What's so cool about this free zine is that you can actually click on applicable links pertaining to each image which contains downloadable vector art, images and patterns! Instant gratification!!!! And then you can make your own beautiful art using them! (Above uses a variation of four different brushes, vectors or patterns - brush 17, botanicals 13, night life, water color and vatercolor 01). (Below: Mr. Hyde & Trygve 02 by Designed by Emma Trithart. And below that, Ray Fenwick's Infinityland 01 patterns with Radius 04). Click here to download the zine or here to go to their site.

WAKE UP EYEBALLS - Day 1
Special Guest Post by Christine Schmidt, Yellow Owl Workshop
Hello there. This is Christine Schmidt from Yellow Owl Workshop coming at you from San Francisco. Big thanks to Jan and Earl, my lovely hosts this week!
From my view atop Bernal Heights I can watch the rainbow ships and homes below slough off the grey evening fog. The colors surge backing the morning sun. Although his work has a depth and disconnect belying the eye-searing spectrum, SF’s own Keegan McHargue uses full spectrum beautifully. And he is a cool dude. Can’t swing a painting from Metro Pictures? Yeah, me neither. Gets some Keegan in zine form from Nieves.
Or in monograph a rad store here in SF called Park Life.

mingus' gocco'd origami
Loving all these new origami gocco'd designs coming out of Australia from Mingus Designs. Saw them first on her flickr stream whilst visiting the gocco pool. The cards are printed on 100% recycled paper and the fabric is hemp organic cotton based for the pouches and bags.
Update (Jul 1): The items should be up in her etsy shop in the next couple of days
Paint and Ink
Paint and Ink was Etsy's featured seller recently, and I was naturally delighted to find her imaginary maps of faraway lands. Printed from original paintings drawn with dip pens and India ink and illuminated with glowing watercolor, her work reminds me of pirate treasure maps from old story books. These would make such great little boys room art! Also love these podged wood plaques which bring remarkable depth and life to the ink and gives the edges of the wood a sappy, resiny look. Click here to see more of her shop and read her featured seller interview here.
sweet sails
Just came across these sweet little sailboat cushions from Kate Durkin on Etsy today. Hand-embroidered sailboats, perfect huggable accents to a couch or bed and a great soft toy. She also has some great owl ones too.

nantaka joy - summer series
I am loving these beautiful new papergoods from Nantaka Joy this summer. The above pattern named, Agate is from her Nature Explorations series, where patterns of textural agate explore a topographic viewpoint. Metallic on charcoal with scalloped edges. (Below:) From her Cloth Story series, an olive ombre notebook on a pearlized cover and an ombre lace grey tiny card both with lace-like patterns. Click here to see more.

How-To (NSS Post Series) at Susy Jack's
Susy of Susy Jack has done a write up on her experience at the National Stationery Show on her blog this past week. She's breaking it down into three parts and the first part she's calling Part 1 - Pre Show. It's a great little write up on topics such as "should you participate", "prepping for the show" and "public relations/advertising" and booth basics. She wrote a nice little part on participating at Poppytalk Handmade which ran tandem with the show. Click here to read Part 1.
