Cute Centrepieces

.

A great idea for a simple but elegant and slightly whimsical centrepiece is using a footed bowl. The compote is a fantastic aesthetic little thing which holds floral displays to their best advantage. You could go earthy and natural, vintage or even preppy and classic. Whatever style you choose just make sure the bowl and it's arrangement of flowers are in proportion to one another as well as the table. I really like the softness these centrepieces add to a rectangular table especially when they're in different sizes.

Compotes are quite hard to get a hold of these days but I found this excellent modern glass version at Whiteport (visit their beautiful website {here}).

And this more understated classic version from Chef's Kitchen.

And these lovely vintage ones from Etsy . . . only problem is they're one of a kind but that's just an excuse to mix and match!

A trio of graduating compotes would look great on the bridal table. Click here to see them on Etsy.

This vintage green glass compote would look fantastic with a white arrangement of david austen roses and lisianthus. Click here to see it on Etsy.

A milk glass compote would suit most styles and flowers. Click here to see it on Etsy.
