For something blue try delphiniums. They come in shades of the hue and are in season now till november. In the language of flowers, delphiniums mean "fun and enjoyment." They are popular as backing flowers to add visual strength and height to a design. The single florets look especially nice when used in small wired work such as buttonieres and corsages. Pair with blue hydrangeas for a monochromatic colour palette.
Mix with pinks and yellows for a bright coloured arrangement suited for the more traditional and formal garden wedding.
