reading yellow owl workshop's studio post (above), and thinking of heraldry and crests, brought to mind canadian's suzanne carlsen (whom now has a website and new work since i last posted about her work). as stated in her bio, her work is inspired by history and contemporary forms reminiscent of childhood and play, and speak to the simple pleasures of living: beauty, happiness and memory.
